Lord Jesus Christ,
I come before You broken and desperate, yet grateful that You welcome me just as I am. Thank You for loving me in my addiction, for never giving up on me even when I’ve given up on myself. I praise You for being stronger than any chain that binds me, any substance that controls me, any habit that enslaves me. You came to set the captives free, and I claim that promise today. Thank You for dying on the cross to break not only the penalty of sin, but also its power over my life.

Jesus, I am tired of fighting this battle alone and losing over and over again. I confess that my addiction has become my master, and I feel powerless to break free. I have tried willpower, programs, promises, and nothing has worked. I surrender my complete helplessness to You and ask for Your supernatural intervention. Replace my craving for substances with a craving for You. When temptation comes, remind me that I am not alone in this fight. You are my strength when I have none.

Give me courage to take the practical steps toward recovery that You place before me. Help me to be honest about my need for help and humble enough to accept it from others. Surround me with people who understand this struggle and can walk alongside me. Show me treatment options, support groups, and accountability partners who will love me through this process. May my eventual freedom become a powerful testimony of Your grace to others who are trapped as I have been.

Protect me from the triggers and situations that lead to relapse. Give me wisdom to avoid places and people that make recovery harder. Guard my family from the pain that my addiction has caused them. Restore the trust that I have broken and heal the relationships that I have damaged. Keep me from isolating myself in shame, and help me to stay connected to people who support my recovery.

I place my addiction, my recovery, and my future entirely in Your hands, Lord. I cannot do this alone, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Transform my life from the inside out. Use my story of redemption to help others find freedom. This day belongs to You, and so do I. Break every chain and set me free.
